The Eli Kay Sefer Torah is being written in the memory of Eli Kay HY’D, an oleh from South Africa, who was killed by a Hamas terrorist on his way to work at the Kotel on November 21, 2021, at the age of 25, simply because he was a Jew.
In the short time since his passing, Eli's unique personality continues to inspire many people from different religious, cultural, and geographical backgrounds around the world.
The goal of this Torah is to unite Jews from all over the world through their participation in its writing.
The Eli Kay unity sefer torah will be used by people and groups touring and travelling across Israel. In this way Eli’s love for the land and his passion for it will be perpetuated.
